Funding opportunities are now open to support community, indigenous, youth, arts and cultural development, and event and placemaking projects.

Community groups and organisations are encouraged to apply for funding via the Nillumbik Shire Council's Community Fund for projects to be undertaken in 2021/22.

Mayor Peter Perkins said a broad range of project ideas were eligible for funding as part of the program.

"Projects that encourage and empower people to get involved, that support groups, clubs, artists and organisations to deliver community projects to meet local needs are what we're looking for," Cr Perkins said.
