Nominations Open: 2025 Victorian Multicultural Awards

Ararat Rural City Council is pleased to encourage our community members to submit nominations for the Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence, an annual event that recognises the achievements and contributions of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and organisations across Victoria.

The Awards offer 14 categories, covering sectors such as youth leadership (for nominees aged 16-25), emergency services, volunteering, the arts, sports, refugees, business, mental health and more.

These Awards shine a light on those who are helping to build a stronger, more inclusive community and the Awards are a meaningful recognition of the people and groups who help make Victoria such a vibrant, welcoming home for everyone.

Each year, nominations are open to people of all backgrounds, and anyone can nominate an outstanding person, organisation, or initiative.

"We know our region is home to people from all walks of life who are quietly making a big difference," said Ararat Rural City Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong. "Submitting a nomination is a way to celebrate their commitment to inclusion, highlight their achievements, and encourage a strong sense of belonging for everyone in our community. This is our chance to spotlight local champions and give them the recognition they deserve."
