Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is reminding residents to lodge nominations for outstanding achievers who will be considered for 2026 Toowoomba Region Australia Day awards.
TRC Australia Day Coordinating Working Group chair Cr James O'Shea is urging residents to finalise nominations by the end of October.
"Our local government area has hundreds of citizens who devote their time and expertise to running organisations, programs and events that contribute to all sectors across the Region," Cr O'Shea said.
"Our community is greatly enriched by the efforts of the people whose passion and enthusiasm keeps their respective groups, programs or events running.
"We all know someone who contributes countless hours of assistance to run programs, facilities or events for the benefit of fellow residents. I encourage residents to nominate these selfless individuals and community groups or events for the other categories.
