Two North Coast State Emergency Service (SES) members have been recognised at the service's State Awards in Brisbane on Saturday afternoon.
The State Awards, which marked the end of SES week across Queensland, recognised SES units and members for their remarkable contributions to the state.
Andrew Collins of Caloundra SES Group was awarded the Joyce Scorey Shield for SES Trainer of the Year.
He was acknowledged for his exceptional leadership and delivery of training, mentoring, competency maintenance, and infrastructure, enhancing both training and operational capability.
Mr Collins, an SES member for 11 years, said he was humbled by the award.
"It was such a surprise and I feel so honoured to receive this recognition, and to represent the Caloundra Group." Mr Collins said.
Meanwhile, Gracie Springer from Tewantin SES Group was recognised with the Director's Cup for SES Young Member of the year.
At just 18-years-old, Ms Springer has already dedicated 139 hours to the service, and her dedication, courage and outstanding service made her a fitting recipient of the award.
North Coast Regional Director Angela Pappas said both members are a perfect representation of the region.
"We are so proud of both Andrew and Grace," Regional Director Pappas said.
"They are both the embodiment of the passion and commitment we see across the North Coast, and entire SES, and they showcase the diversity across the region, and that there is a place for everyone at the SES."
