A North Lakes mum found it hard to believe she had won division one in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw over the weekend, admitting at first, she thought the $900,000 prize was a mistake.
The Moreton Bay resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4633, drawn Saturday 13 December 2025. Each entry scored $919,794.14.
"Thank you! It really hasn't sunk in," she exclaimed when we relayed the winning news.
"This is a life-changing amount for us! I can't believe we've won such money!
"I don't really go out much, and I bought the ticket using The Lott app. When I checked it yesterday and saw the prize amount, I reckon I opened and closed the app at least four times.
"I wasn't sure if it was real. I struggled to come to terms with it! I went to my husband to check and he immediately said, 'No you're lying!'.
"The first thing my husband said he wanted to do was buy a Lamborghini and then we came to our senses. We said we would wait to receive a phone call for confirmation before celebrating.
"It's a lot of money! It's a big thing!"
Besides joking about buying a Lamborghini with the prize, the Queenslander shared some practical plans for her newfound fortune.
"We're going to visit an accountant to see how we can best make use of the prize. Perhaps we will invest. We're not going to go out and spend it all!" she revealed.
"My other half would like to retire but we're just not there yet.
"We will have to order some Uber Eats in tonight to celebrate!"
Her winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
