North Melbourne aggravated burglary

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in North Melbourne yesterday, Victoria Police say.

It is believed about 1.30pm on 13 December, an unknown female has entered the Patterson Lane home.

An 84-year-old female occupant of the house was watching TV while the offender stole her mobile phone and a set of keys.

The victim confronted the offender and followed her outside where a male appeared to be acting as lookout.

They denied stealing anything and walked away down a nearby alleyway.

The woman is described as aged between 30-45-years-old, thin build with bleached blonde hair.

The man is described as 180-190cm tall, thin build and was wearing a distinctive jumper with ‘H’ on the back.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man and woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
