Northern Beaches Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Craig Wonders, said today’s operation was the culmination of an intense police investigation.

"Local police have been frustrated by reports of on-going criminal conduct over the past six years in this area.

"Police from the Northern Beaches Local Area Command have executed seven search warrants at those premises in this time.

"On each occasion, police have seized drugs, property alleged to have been stolen, and weapons.

"This has been the catalyst for the formation of Strike Force Poppong and, as a consequence, today’s raids.

"Northern Beaches police will continue to target illegal activity within the command, especially that involving the distribution of illicit drugs, theft of property and the use of premises for illegal purposes.

"We welcome hearing from anyone in the community with information about any of these activities to contact police at Northern Beaches Local Area Command or Crime Stoppers.
