Northern District - St Helens Wounding - Male arrested at scene

At approximately 8.40pm on Wednesday 1 January 2020 Police attended Erythos Grove St Helens in relation to a report that a 60 year old male had received a laceration after an altercation with another male.

Tasmania Ambulance Service attended providing treatment at the scene before he was conveyed to St Helens District Hospital and then transferred to the Launceston General Hospital for further treatment. He is stable and injuries are not life threatening.

A 61 year old Dodges Ferry man was taken into custody at the scene, investigations have concluded with charges pending. He has been bailed to appear at the Hobart Magistrates Court on the 11th February 2020.
