Artist registrations for this year’s Northern Fringe Festivals are being extended until March 19, giving creatives a few more weeks to sign up.
The festival is back for its second instalment this year, after being called off last year because of COVID-19.
“The first Northern Fringe Festival was a real hit across Townsville, so it’s exciting to be able to bring the festival back to our city this year,” Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said.
“Townsville City Council is focusing on making Northern Fringe Festival 2021 a COVID-safe event to make sure our community and visitors can attend safely. We want this year’s festival to showcase high calibre art and performances, including acts from interstate.
