Norwood Business Damaged In Suspicious Fire

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at Norwood overnight.

Police and fire crews were called to a business premises on Beulah Road at about 1.45am on Tuesday 7 July following reports of a fire.

On arrival, fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the building.

Surrounding homes were evacuated during the incident and no injuries were reported.

Fire Cause Investigators and Eastern District detectives attended the scene and the cause of the fire has been deemed deliberate.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.
