Not so merry Christmas

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after War medals were stolen during a burglary in Glenroy this week, Victoria Police say.

Investigators believe unknown offenders broke into the Milton Street home between Sunday 24 and Tuesday 26 December.

The burglar ransacked the home and stole a large amount of electrical items, jewellery and personal items.

Items with significant sentimental value include World War II medals, army dogtags and official army paperwork.

These items in particular have caused the owner and his family considerable distress.

Police have released images of these items in the hope that anyone who sees them will contact Crime Stoppers.
