Bass Coast Shire Council is working with Victoria Police around an incident that occurred this weekend.
Due to vandalism over the weekend, Cape Paterson toilet amenities have been significantly damaged over three toilet blocks. The First Surf Beach, Brown's Bay and Allen Birt Park Reserve in Cape Paterson were vandalised between the evening of Friday 15 September and the early hours of Saturday 16 September 2023.
Due to the significant damage caused at the three toilet blocks they will be closed to the public for an extended period.
Council is immediately focussed on obtaining temporary facilities for this area while Victoria Police investigate the incident. Council is erecting signage for the toilet blocks as they are temporarily closed. We aim to minimise any disruption this may cause.
