Mayor's Message

As we start the new year, I hope that you have had the chance to spend time with family and friends doing things you all enjoy.

We have another big year ahead and we look forward to sharing in a broad range of activities and opportunities as we also continue our work in and with our community.

To start, our major sporting calendar has been filled with many events for our community to enjoy including the return of the Melbourne Boomers who took on the UC Capitals over the weekend, the 30th AGL Loy Yang Traralgon Junior International and the Latrobe City and WIN Network Pro-Am Classic.

Major events such as these are fantastic for our community as it is an opportunity for us to celebrate sport in our own backyard. We also welcome many visitors who are encouraged to visit our local businesses and eateries to show their support.

We can also expect to see progress through our Council Plan this year to deliver vital services and programs for everyone, including $40.4 million in capital works projects across our City.

Council will continue to collaborate with other levels of government on vital projects too, including our continued transition and preparations for the Commonwealth Games.

I cannot wait to see what we achieve together.

Cr Kellie O'Callaghan

Mayor of Latrobe City Council
