The next round of Campaspe Shire Council's Community Grants program is set to empower local groups and individuals through funding across four key streams. This round of grants includes Events and Tourism Grants, Equipment Grants, Junior Development Grants and Inclusive Communities Grants. Applications for these programs are open from 1 November until 22 November via Council's website.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell encouraged residents to explore the latest round of community grants and see what support is available.

"The launch of the new grants platform has made it easier than ever for locals to access support through the Community Grants program.

"Whether you're planning an event, need equipment for your club, or have a creative idea to bring people together, there's a grant stream designed to help.

"I encourage everyone to take a look and see what's on offer," he added.

Council's Community Grant program has been streamlined and now features different streams for which the community can apply. Community Grants are offered on a quarterly basis, opening on the first day of February, May, August and November each year.

"By opening these grants every quarter, it's easier for groups and individuals to plan ahead and apply when the time's right," Cr Mackrell said.

The Inclusive Communities Grants (previously known as Community Grants) allows for grants of up to $4,000 for projects, exhibitions and/or performances that contribute to the municipality; Equipment Grants allows for grants of up to $2,000 for equipment for sporting and community groups that is essential to the group's operations and benefits the community; Junior Development Grants are to support young people up to the age of 18 who have been selected for State or National representation in the arts, culture, or sports; Community Event Grants allow for grants up to $1,000 for community events and up to $5,000 for regional events that support and promote Campaspe communities.

"If you've got an idea, don't wait – jump online and apply. If you need any help with your application, the grants team are happy to provide support and advice," Cr Mackrell said.

Applicants needing assistance with their application are encouraged to contact the Grants Officer on 1300 666 535.
