NSW latest new exposure venues linked to Omicron cases

The public is being advised of two venues, in Potts Point and Parramatta, visited by confirmed cases likely to have the Omicron variant of concern.

The venues are the Cult Nightclub in Potts Point, and the Albion Hotel in Parramatta.

Both venues have been visited by confirmed cases of COVID-19 linked to the previously reported outbreak on a party boat cruise on Sydney Harbour on Friday 3 December. It is likely some of these cases have the Omicron varint of concern. 

Anyone who attended the following venue at the time listed is a close contact who must immediately get tested, isolate and follow the rules for close contacts of COVID-19.

Anyone who attended the following venues at the times listed is a casual contact who must immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received. You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again:

NSW Health has confirmed a total of 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 among people who attended the cruise on Sydney Harbour. Three of these cases, as reported yesterday, are confirmed to have the Omicron variant. More cases of Omicron are expected from this cruise.

NSW Health is urgently contacting anyone who boarded the affected cruise and is directing them and members of their households to immediately get tested and follow public health advice.

Please get tested even if you have had a test in recent days. If you test result is negative, please continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms appear, get tested and isolate again.

If you are directed to get tested for COVID‑19 or self-isolate at any time, you must follow the self-isolation rules.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative test result.
