NSW man arrested after firearms, ammunition and drugs found in house near Lismore

A man will face court today after police allegedly located illegal firearms, ammunition and drugs after a search of a house, NSW Police say.

About 10.30am yesterday, police attended a home on Bangalow Road, Lagoon Grass, near Lismore, and spoke to a 40-year-old man.

Police conducted a search of the premises and allegedly located and seized three firearms, ammunition and numerous firearms parts.

Officers also allegedly located and seized a substance believed to be methylamphetamine.

The man was arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with numerous firearms offences including:

  • Manufacture pistol without licence/permit
  • Supply unregistered firearm
  • Possess unregistered firearm
  • Possess ammunition without licence/permit
  • Possess prohibited drug

He was refused bail and will appear in Lismore Local Court today.
