NSW man charged after hydroponic setup dismantled

A man has been charged after police located and dismantled a hydroponics setup in the garage of a home in Cameron Park earlier today, NSW Police say.

About 11am today, officers from Lake Macquarie Target Action Group executed a search warrant at a home on Lillias Street.

At the garage of the home, police allegedly located an amount of drugs believed to be cannabis, and a hydroponic setup.

The drugs and other items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

At the home, officers arrested a 22-year-old man. He was taken to Belmont Police Station where he was charged with cultivate prohibited plant, alter or add to electricity installation, and use electricity without consent.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on Wednesday 25 May 2016.
