NSW man charged following alleged offensive social media posts

Police have charged a man over alleged offensive social media posts, NSW Police say.

Detectives from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were made aware of the posts, directed at a 45-year-old woman, and commenced an investigation.

About 1pm today, police attended a business on Victoria Road, Woy Woy, and arrested a 64-year-old man.

The man was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with use carriage service (telecommunications) to cause offence.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on Tuesday 21 June 2016.
