NSW man charged over illegally filming

A man has been charged after allegedly secretly recording a man and a woman inside a unit at Harris Park, NSW Police say.

It is alleged that from December 2015, a 29-year-old man secretly recorded the man and the woman – both aged 31 – and others using a bathroom at an apartment on Allen Street without their consent.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command were notified of the incidents yesterday today and commenced investigations.

About 7pm yesterday today, police arrested a 29-year-old man at his workplace in Parramatta and seized a mobile phone.

After examining the phone, police allegedly located a number of recordings which depicted footage of the 31-year-old woman and a child.

The 29-year-old man taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with two counts of film person in a private act without consent and possess child abuse material.

The man was granted bail strict conditional bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 7 June 2016.
