NSW man charged over indecent assault

A man has been charged after an alleged assault and act of indecency at a bus interchange in Sydney’s South-West.

About 8am on Thursday yesterday, a 19-year-old woman got off a bus at the Liverpool bus interchange before having a short conversation with a 30-year-old man, who is known to her.

As the woman walked away the man allegedly grabbed her around the chest and indecently assaulted her.

Later that day, the incident was reported to police and officers from Police Transport Command commenced an investigation.

About 3pm yesterday today, officers arrested the man at his address and he was taken to Liverpool Police Station.

He was charged with commit act of indecency and assault with act of indecency.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on 23 September 2016, NSW Police say.
