NSW man charged with committing act of indecency on train

A man will appear in court today after officers from the Police Transport Command charged him with allegedly committing an act of indecency on a train in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

About 6.15am on Friday 1 April 2016, a 51-year-old a man approached a 26-year-old woman on a train as it was nearing Belmore Railway Station.

Police will allege the man committed an act of indecency, before fleeing the train at Belmore.

The matter was reported to police and an investigation commenced.

This morning today, officers arrested the 51-year-old man at his Belmore home.

He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with assault with act of indecency and commit act of indecency.

The man was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today.
