NSW man to face court after drugs, ammunition found

A man will face court today after police allegedly located drugs during a search of a house, NSW Police say.

Following inquiries into drug possession, police attached to Mascot Proactive Crime Team with the assistance of Cabramatta’s Proactive Crime Team, attended a house on Hilltop Avenue, Mount Prichard about 8pm yesterday, where they executed a search warrant.

During the search, officers allegedly located pills and powder believed to be MDMA, about 72 grams of methamphetamine, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and cash.

A 38-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with a number of drug offences including possess prohibited drug, supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drug, as well as dealing with proceeds suspected of being proceeds of crime and possessing ammunition without holding a licence.

He was refused bail and will appear in Waverley Local Court today.
