NSW police appeal as inquiries continue into vehicle re-birthing

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into car re-birthing in Sydney’s south west, NSW Police say.

Strike Force Jardine was formed by the Property Crime Squad’s Motor Unit and Bankstown Local Area Command to investigate the organised theft of vehicles across Sydney.

Earlier this year, strike force detectives charged four men with various offences. They all remain before the courts.

As a result of further inquiries, police believe a number of stolen vehicles have been dismantled at an industrial complex on Ashford Avenue, Milperra.

Strike Force Jardine investigators have released CCTV vision of a white Toyota Hiace van and a white Toyota Hilux leaving the complex about 3am on Sunday 20 September 2015.

Detectives are trying to identify the drivers of both vehicles, as well as another man depicted in the vision, who they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

The man is wearing a black hooded jumped with a white Adidas symbol on the front.

In addition, they are hoping to identify the owners of a motorcycle and red Toyota Hilux, which can be seen parked within the complex.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
