NSW police appeal for witnesses as murder investigation continues

Police investigating the murder of a man at a hair salon at Bossley Park yesterday are appealing for public assistance as inquiries continue.

About 12.40pm (Friday 11 January 2019) emergency services were called to a hair salon on Mimosa Road, where they found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his upper body.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he died about 5pm.

Following inquiries, an 18-year-old Bossley Park man was arrested and charged with murder.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command have formed Strike Force Etival to investigate the incident with assistance from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.

As their inquiries continues, investigators have released a photograph of a motorcyclist; and would like to speak to anyone who recalls seeing this rider either before or after the murder.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage that might be able to assist.
