NSW police charge man over shooting

A man will face court today after being charged with firearm offences that police will allege occurred earlier this year in the Hunter, NSW Police say.

About 1.50am on Sunday 15 October 2017, numerous projectiles were discharged from a firearm into a vehicle and dwelling in Greta Street at Kurri Kurri.

A short time later police attached to Central Hunter Local Area Command located a partially burnt out Mitsubishi Magna motor vehicle.

Investigators followed several lines of inquiry including the incident may have been OMCG related.

Earlier yesterday (Wednesday 20 December, 2017), police arrested a man on Gavenlock Road at Tuggerah.

The 21-year-old man, who is believed to be a nominee for the Finks, was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was later charged with fire firearm at dwelling and fire firearm at other than dwelling disregarding safety.

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Thursday 21 December 2017).
