An off-duty civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged with drink-driving, NSW Police say.

The 33-year-old man was stopped at a stationary random breath testing site on Regent Street, Redfern, about 3pm on Sunday 15 October 2017.

After a positive reading, the man was arrested and taken to Redfern Police Station, where a breath-analysis test returned an alleged reading of 0.054.

The man was issued with a future court attendance notice for the offence of driving with a low-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 27 November 2017.
