NSW police invite the community to attend international Beach Soccer Tournament at Coogee

NSW Police are inviting the community to attend an International Beach Soccer Tournament on Sunday tomorrow, NSW Police say.

The tournament will see officers and students hit the sand at Coogee Beach from 8.30am, and the public is invited to cheer on their favourite team from a number of countries and regions.

More than 250 students from over 50 countries including Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Chile, China, Colombia, Thailand, Europe, India, Japan, Mongolia, two teams from the Middle East, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South East Asia, will take part in the event.

Teams from Western Region, Newcastle, Wollongong and Police/Randwick Council team will also be represented during the competition.

The event is free and there will be a number of cultural and police displays, as well as a selection of international food stalls and live entertainment.

WHEN: Kick off at 8.30am SUNDAY tomorrow
