A police officer will appear in court following investigations into alleged misconduct, NSW Police say.
On Thursday 31 March 2016, the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation into a 35-year-old male constable attached to the Central Metropolitan Region.
The incident is alleged to have occurred in January this year.
On Tuesday (24 May 2016), the constable was issued with a Future Court Attendance Notice for unauthorised access to restricted data held in computer.
He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 4 July 2016.
The officer is currently on restricted duties.
