NSW police probe after house fire

Police are investigating after a fire in a unit in Sydney’s south west, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am today, emergency services attended a unit complex on Orchard Road, Bass Hill, after being alerted to the fire by a neighbour.

The unit was well alight and was extinguished a short time later by Fire & Rescue NSW.

No one was injured during the blaze.

Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Commend commenced established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following initial inquiries, police have deemed the fire as suspicious and are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact detectives from Bankstown Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
