NSW police probe after pedestrian hit

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit in Sydney’s north today, NSW Police say.

About 9.00am today, an 89-year-old woman reversed her Toyota Corolla out of her driveway on Lee Road, Beacon Hill.

Police have been told the vehicle struck a 96-year-old man walking along the road.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The woman was taken to Manly Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers attached to Northern Beaches Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact police via Crime Stopers.
