NSW police search for driver after crash

Police are searching for a driver after a crash in Surry Hills overnight, NSW Police say.

About 1pm tomorrow, police were called to the intersection of South Dowling Street and Fitzroy Street following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a Toyota Corolla was travelling north along South Dowling Street when it has driven through a red light and hit into another car.

The driver of the Corolla then exited the vehicle and left the scene.

Emergency services attended and assessed the four occupants of the second car but they did not require any medical treatment.

Officers from Surry Hills Local Area Command are investigating the crash and are currently searching for the driver of the Corolla.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
