NSW police seek info after firearms, vehicles stolen near Cobar

Police are appealing for information after a number of firearms and vehicles were stolen from properties in the state’s North West., NSW Police say

Between Tuesday 26 April 2016 and Thursday 9 June 2016, unknown person/s entered a property on Priory Tank Road, Nymagee, where they forced entry to a gun safe.

Fourteen firearms, including rifles and shotguns were stolen from the property as well as three vehicles; a Toyota Hilux, a Toyota 4Runner and a Yamaha motorbike.

On Thursday 5 May 2016, unknown person/s entered a property on Priory Tank Road, Nymagee, however no property was taken.

Between Friday 6 May 2016 and Monday 30 May 2016, unknown person/s entered a property on Rosevale Road, Nymagee, before taking a Yamaha motorcycle, a Honda scooter, and tools.

The break-ins were reported to officers attached to Darling River Local Area Command who launched an investigation.

Police are investigating whether the incidents may be linked and have now released CCTV images, seeking information.

Investigators are now urging anyone with information that could assist them with their inquiries to contact Crime Stopers.
