NSW police seek info after man's body located at Kurnell

An investigation is underway after a man’s body was found near a lookout in southern Sydney yesterday, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Cape Solander Lookout, Kurnell, about 1.15pm yesterday, after the body of a man was seen on rocks.

PolAir assisted in the retrieval operation.

Officers from Miranda Local Area Command established a crime scene and inquiries are now underway into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

It’s believed the body is that of a 41-year-old Brighton-Le-Sands man.

A post mortem examination will be conducted in the coming days to determine the cause of death.

Police are appealing for information from anyone in the Kurnell area over the weekend and saw a man, with an olive complexion, with black hair, and unshaven, wearing a blue jacket with black hoodie underneath, blue pants, and black shoes or saw a red Hyundai I20.

Anyone with information, is urged to contact Miranda Police or Crime Stoppers.
