NSW police seek info after World War II medals stolen on state's Central Coast

Police are appealing for public assistance following a home invasion on the state’s Central Coast, where items including World War II medals were stolen, NSW Police say.

Between 4.30am on Monday 18 April and 7.15pm on Monday 25 April 2016, an unknown person gained entry to a home on Neptune Street, Umina Beach, before ransacking the premises.

About 8.30pm on Monday 25 April 2016, officers attached to Brisbane Water Local Area Command were called to the home when the occupants returned and noticed a number of items, including jewellery, a lap top and World War II medals had been stolen.

A crime scene was established, which was forensically examined.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward and contact Crime Stopers.
