NSW police seek witnesses after man seriously injured in crash

Police are appealing for information following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s north east yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10.20am (Monday 12 November 2018), emergency services were called to Nimbin Road, Booerie Creek, about 6km north west of Lismore, after reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers from Richmond Police District found a Mitsubishi Triton in the middle of the road with significant front-end damage.

The driver, a 71-year-old man, was freed after being trapped for some time.

and suffering from serious head and internal injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital with head and internal injuries where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating the crash and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the crash, to come forward.
