NSW police seek witnesses following armed robbery near Mittagong

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery in Colo Vale, near Mittagong, last night, NSW Police say.

About 10pm yesterday, a man armed with a knife entered a service station on Railway Parade and threatened a 27-year-old male employee, demanding cash.

Police have been told the employee complied, and the armed man fled the scene down Elm Street, taking cash.

The employee was uninjured and contacted police.

Officers attached to The Hume Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175-180cm, and was last seen wearing a black and grey long sleeve shirt, and track pants.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and contact Crime Stopers.
