NSW Police to take part in third Singleton Emergency Service Expo

Singleton emergency services will come together for a third year at the annual Singleton Emergency Services Expo.

The event – set to be held between 9am and 12pm on Saturday 16 March 2019, at Townhead Park, Singleton – will host a wide variety of emergency services, including NSW Police.

Officers from Hunter Valley Police District, NSW SES, NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Local Lands and Council, NSW Mines Rescue, The Salvation Army, The Red Cross and Singleton Council, will be in attendance.

The expo provides the local community with the unique opportunity to meet and greet their local services, ask questions, and gather important information regarding safety.

There will be live demonstrations of coordinated multi-agency responses to incidents, showcasing the capacity of local police working with various other emergency services.

Hunter Valley Police District's Inspector Joanne Schultz, is looking forward to meeting with members of the local community.

"This event is a great opportunity to build relationships with members of the Singleton community, and we invite all to come down for a chat," Inspector Schultz said.

"There'll be plenty to do for the kids, as well as live demonstrations of how police coordinate with various other emergency services when responding to emergencies.

"The nature of our role rarely leaves room for friendly conversations with the people we help, so we're excited for the chance to shed light on what we do in a positive environment," Insp Schultz said.
