NSW police Transport Command operation at Albury

Officers from Police Transport and Public Safety Command South/South West Sector will conduct a high visibility operation targeting crime and anti-social behaviour on the transport network in the Murray River Police District at Albury, NSW Police say.

Operation PTC Explorer is a Police Transport Command Operation incorporating the deployment of uniformed and plain clothed staff to provide service delivery outside the Sydney Metropolitan area, namely rural areas of New South Wales.

The deployment targets antisocial behaviour, property theft, violent crime, and drug offences on the public transport network and surrounds and supports local Police Districts in the fight against crime.

Over a four-day period commencing today (Thursday 1 November 2018), officers will attend the Murray River Police District at Albury via the country rail network, where they will patrol local transport hubs as well as providing operational support to Albury Police during the Albury Show.

The operation concludes on Sunday (4 November 2018).
