NSW police Transport Command operation at Cootamundra

A four-day high-visibility police operation targeting crime and anti-social behaviour on the public transport network will be conducted at Cootamundra this week, NSW Police say.

Operation PTC Explorer will commence on Thursday (18 October 2018) and run until Sunday (21 October 2018).

The operation involves uniformed and plain clothed officers deployed to provide service delivery outside the Sydney Metropolitan area, namely rural areas of New South Wales.

It will target antisocial behaviour, property theft, violent crime, and drug offences on the public transport network and support local police in the fight against crime.

Officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command South/SouthWest Sector will travel to Cootamundra in the Riverina Police District via the country rail network, where they will patrol local transport hubs as well as providing operational support to Cootamundra Police during the Cootamundra Show.
