NSW woman charged after reckless wounding

A woman has been charged over an alleged reckless wounding on the north coast of NSW yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 6.00pm yesterday, a 53-year-old man was stabbed in the thigh during an alleged domestic violence incident on Rolland’s Plains Road, Telegraph Point.

Police from Mid North Coast Local Area Command and New South Wales Ambulance Paramedics attended.

The man was treated and taken to Port Macquarie Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding.

She was released on conditional bail and is due to appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 3 August, 2016.
