NTPS General Enterprise Agreement Approved

The Northern Territory Public Sector 2021 - 2025 Enterprise Agreement has been approved by 57% of employees who voted in the ballot process.

Under the agreement Territory public servants can now expect 3 days paid Christmas Closedown leave for this year and a $4000 lump sum, to be paid on payday of 20 January 2022.

Improved compassionate leave provisions5 days for immediate family or household member3 days for extended family member (i.e. aunt, uncle, cousin) or in the case of miscarriageImproved overtime provisions where overtime worked spans midnightImprovements for parentsRight to return from parental leave on a part-time basisEmployer superannuation contributions paid at double the legislated rate during a period of paid Primary Caregiver leave or Special Maternity Leave (stillbirth)Minimum daily engagement period for casual employees of 3 hoursNo reduction to current or future employee rights and entitlements.
