Now, the Eats and Beats Street Series is heading to Tongarra Road, with a magical mix of food, music, markets, and family fun on its way to Albion Park on Saturday, 1 November from 5pm-9pm.
As part of Shellharbour City Council's mission to energise our growing town centres, this twilight street series will shine a light on Albion Park's vibrant, community-driven spirit, bringing fun, entertainment, and support for local businesses.
The Albion Park Eats and Beats event - held in collaboration with the Albion Park Chamber of Commerce - will feature: magical lighting, live music and beats, street food and sweet treats, creative market stalls, roving performers, games galore, and plenty of family fun.
Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said he could not wait for Eats and Beats to head to Albion Park after Oak Flats' success.
"Oak Flats came alive with colour, sound, and flavour, and we're excited to bring that same energy to Albion Park in November, Mayor Homer said.
"These events are about creating spaces where people can connect, celebrate and enjoy the unique character of their community. We're proud to support local businesses and provide opportunities for families to come together in a fun and inclusive way."
Eats and Beats is proudly funded by the NSW Government's Open Streets Program led by Transport for NSW, in association with Shellharbour City Council.
Shellharbour MP Anna Watson said: "I'm delighted to be representing Minister John Graham at the Albion Park Eats and Beats Street Event in November. This event is a celebration of food, music, community, and the vibrant spirit that makes this town so special.
"This event is part of the NSW Government's Vibrant Streets Package, a more than $39 million investment designed to bring energy and life back into our streets, making them safer, more enjoyable, and more connected places for everyone."
Minister for Transport, John Graham said: "We're excited to support Eats and Beats Street Series in Shellharbour.
"Too often our main streets are something we drive through, rather than drive to. Our main streets are a critical part of our social infrastructure, and this program demonstrates how we can use our streets to bring communities together and drive revenue for local businesses.
"The Open Streets Program temporarily transforms our main streets into thriving, vibrant public event spaces.
"The colour and diversity of these 240 events across NSW, celebrates the unique personality of each town or suburb. This is what our vibrancy agenda is all about, backing locals to create events and entertainment that works for their local community."
