Oakleigh burglary and deception

Detectives from the Monash Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone with information following a burglary in Oakleigh earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told that a residential premises on North Road was broken into sometime between 8.45 and 11am on Friday 19 August.

During the burglary the offender has taken a number of items including electronics, fashion accessories and a purse containing credit cards.

The cards were then used about 12.10pm at a store on Lonsdale Street in Dandenong to purchase cigarettes.

Investigators have released images of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his 40s or 50s and was wearing a grey beanie and dark jacket.
