Occupants assaulted after six men break into Taperoo home, SA

Police are investigating a break-in and assault which occurred earlier today at Taperoo, according to SA Police.

Just before 6.30am on Monday 2 April, police were called to a house on Victoria Road after six men forced their way inside through the front door and threatened both occupants.

One of the suspects then struck both victims in the head with what is believed to be a tomahawk. The suspects, who all had their faces covered and wearing hats, left after stealing a wallet.

A 53-year-old from Taperoo received head and facial injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A 46-year-old also received a head injury but did not require medical treatment.

Police are yet to determine if any of those involved are known to each other.
