Off duty officer charged with drink driving after West Pennant Hills RBT stop, NSW

An off-duty police sergeant will face court this month after being charged with low range drink driving, NSW Police say.

About 2.05pm (Thursday 9 August 2018), the sergeant was stopped at a random breath testing site on New Line Road, West Pennant Hills.

The roadside test returned a positive result. The 55-year-old man was arrested and a subsequent breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.73.

He was issued a Court Attendance Notice and will appear in Hornsby Local Court on Thursday 30 August 2018.

The duty status of the sergeant, who is attached to the Central Metropolitan Region, is under review.
