Police have arrested a man and a woman after a stolen vehicle was tracked to a Werribee car wash late last night.
Officers on patrol first caught sight of a stolen silver Ford Territory driving on Kororoit Creek Road in Williamstown about 11.35pm.
The Ford was spotted driving over the speed limit in the vicinity of the Princess Hwy in Werribee before pulling into a carwash on Hooker Road.
A man and a woman allegedly fled from the vehicle before the Ford took off from the scene.
Officers swiftly moved in and arrested the pair.
A 26-year-old Wyndham Vale woman was interviewed on scene and is expected to be charged via summons.
A 38-year-old man remains in custody and will be interviewed by investigators.
The Ford remains outstanding and was stolen from a Greenvale address last week.
