Officer Charged, Emergency Response Unit Launched

A Senior Constable from the Emergency Response and Coordination Command has been served with a notice to appear in relation to alleged drug offences.

The member has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils or pipes etc that had been used, allegedly committed while off duty.

The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 24 June.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
