Officer charged in Parramatta

A police officer has been charged over two alleged assault incidents, NSW Police say.

The senior constable is attached to a specialist command.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred while on-duty at Parramatta in June and July 2017.

Following investigations, on Tuesday 19 June 2018, the 31-year-old officer was issued with Future Court Attendance Notices, for the offences of common assault, affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear before Fairfield Local Court on Monday 6 August 2018.

The officer has been suspended with pay.
