Officer charged in Penrith

A police officer has been charged over an alleged indecent assault while he was off-duty on the weekend, NSW Police say.

The constable, attached to a specialist command, allegedly indecently assaulted a woman at a music festival at Penrith on Saturday 16 September 2017.

Following an investigation by police from Penrith Local Area Command, the 25-year-old man was today, issued a court attendance notice for indecent assault.

He is due to appear at Penrith Local Court on 7 November 2017.
