Officer charged - North West Metropolitan Region 23 February

A police officer has been charged after allegedly accessing restricted information without authorisation.

The 24-year-old male constable, who is attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region, was issued a Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Monday 22 February 2021) for access restricted data held in computer.

Police will allege in court that the officer accessed restricted information in April 2020.

He is due to appear in Manly Local Court on Thursday 8 April 2021.

The officer's duty status is under review.
